  1. Food and Beverage Attendant

    The Shellharbour Club

    If you’re passionate about providing impeccable service whilst having fun along the way, you’ve come to the right place.

    We’re on the lookout for part-time Food and Beverage Attendants to provide our patrons with memorable dining experiences and people to shake, stir and show-off their bar skills. You must thrive working in a super busy work environment as you could be taking orders one minute to waiting incredible meals the next.

    The Food and Beverage team is a large department who provides amazing customer service across multiple food outlets, bars and a variety of event spaces. The energetic team takes a ‘hands-on approach’ to creating customer loyalty whilst staying abreast of service and food trends.

    If you have a welcoming smile, helpful nature and a nature flare for sales, you will be a ‘stand-out’ in this role. From locals to growing families, our patrons are diverse and hungry!

    Working within this role, you would be responsible for:

    • Wait service, including delivery of meals to patrons and clearing tables.
    • Assisting in functions and events.
    • Bar service, including mixing and serving drinks to patrons.
    • Taking orders and assisting patrons with menu choices.
    • Floor duties, including the collection of glasses and general cleaning.

    You will be able to demonstrate:
    • Current RSA qualification.
    • Exceptional personal presentation.
    • Positive team players with a strong work ethic
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
    • Good working knowledge of WH&S principles, food safety and hygiene.
    • Good working knowledge of food and beverage trends.
    • The ability to work days, nights, split shifts and weekend shifts.

  2. Customer Service Attendant (Reception)

    The Shellharbour Club

    We are searching for a part-time Customer Service Attendant who is energetic and passionate to deliver incredible service, going the extra mile for guests’ satisfaction.

    First impressions last forever and as the 1st point of contact for our 500,000+ visitors who walk through our doors each year, your ability to ‘surprise’ members and guests with your bright and bubbly customer service approach will set you apart from the rest.

    You will know about all of the offerings and licensing/compliance requirements whilst exemplifying professional and a personal sales techniques to encourage repeat visitation. We make this easy for you by offering modern surroundings in a family-friendly environment with an array of dining outlets, bars, versatile event spaces and a live entertainment schedule.

    Working within this role, you would be responsible for:

    • Providing a high level of customer service to members, guests, visitors and fellow employees;
    • Proactively approaching members and guests to ensure they meet club and licensing requirements;
    • Providing information and up-selling of facilities, products and membership to new and existing members via phone or every experience where an opportunity is present; and
    • Effectively communicating with all demographics, portraying a strong passion for our club and brand is a must.

    You will be able to demonstrate:
    • Current RSA Qualification.
    • Hold a current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain this qualification.
    • Confident and personable with strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong written, verbal and communication skills.
    • Sound computer skills.
    • Effective conflict resolution skills.
    • A firm understanding of licensing requirements with respect to the Liquor Act, Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gambling and the ability to enforce them when required.
    • Good awareness of manual handling principals.
    • Ability to be both a night owl and an early riser as the roster includes various shifts across the 7 day roster.

  3. Gaming Attendant

    If Gaming is your thing, you have hit the jackpot.

    With one of the largest Gaming floors in the Illawarra offering over 260 gaming machines across the premium, indoor and outdoor gaming spaces, you know that we take our Gaming seriously!

    We’re on the lookout for part-time Gaming Attendants to deliver the ultimate customer service experience in the Gaming room whilst exemplifying the strongest attention to detail– they go the extra mile especially by up-selling the venue’s rewards program and delivering our members benefits.

    Our dedicated and passionate ‘Gaming Attendants’ cope well under pressure and have superb communication skills coupled with prime beverage making techniques. They attend to enquiries from our loyal patrons one minute to ensuing the Gaming room cleanliness is top notch and that our harm minimisation strategies are upheld through our compliance standards.

    It is a close knit team with some of the highest standards of ‘commitment’ as they have to ‘live and breathe’ this as their core value as they are ingrained to provide a high level of customer service across our peak trading periods.

    Working within this role, you would be responsible for:

    • Providing a high level of customer service ensuring our patrons comfort is at a premium standard.
    • Wait service, including the delivery of beverages to patrons within the gaming rooms.
    • Completion of payout dockets and fixing minor gaming machine faults.
    • Ensuring the gaming room cleanliness is maintained at the highest standard at all times.

    You will be able to demonstrate:
    • Current RSA and RCG qualifications.
    • Strong customer service skills with the ability to create memorable experiences.
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
    • Strong communication skills and sales person techniques.
    • Good working knowledge of WH&S principles and the ability to be on your feet for up to 10 hours.
    • Ability to work days, nights and weekend shifts.
