  1. Food and Beverage Attendants

    The Shellharbour Club

    If you’re passionate about providing impeccable service whilst having fun along the way, you’ve come to the right place.

    We’re on the lookout for Part-time Food and Beverage Attendants to provide our patrons with memorable dining experiences and people to shake, stir and show-off their bar skills.

    The Food and Beverage team is a large department who provides amazing customer service across multiple food outlets, bars and a variety of event spaces. The energetic team takes a ‘hands-on approach’ to creating customer loyalty whilst staying up-to-date with all service and food trends.


    Working within this role, you would be responsible for:
    • Wait service, including delivery of meals to patrons and clearing tables.
    • Assisting in functions and events.
    • Bar service, including mixing and serving drinks to patrons.
    • Taking orders and assisting patrons with menu choices.
    • Floor duties, including the collection of glasses and general cleaning.

    To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
    • Current RSA qualification.
    • Exceptional personal presentation.
    • Strong customer service skills with the ability to create memorable experiences.
    • Positive team player with a strong work ethic.
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
    • Must have minimum availability of two week days/nights, Friday nights, Saturdays and peak trading events.

  2. Promotional Host

    The Shellharbour Club

    Calling all personable, engaging, customer focussed individuals who are confident on a microphone to sell and promote club marketing and promotional activities. 

    A smile, a wave and a human voice is more important now than ever before.  The Shellharbour Club is now seeking expressions of interest for a Part-time Promotional Host who is a skilled promoter and brand ambassador.

    In this exciting opportunity, you will be the primary leader in facilitating promotional activities such as bingo, raffles and large promotional events. The successful applicant will need to be sales driven and extremely confident in engaging with both staff and customers.


    The ideal person will be able to demonstrate the following:
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Confidence in dealing with patrons and using a microphone.
    • Outstanding communication skills.
    • Ability to think on your feet.
    • Organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong cash handling skills.
    • Ability to clearly articulate game instructions and promotions.
    • Most importantly – personality – bring energy and enthusiasm to the promotions!

  3. Chef

    The Shellharbour Club

    The Shellharbour Club is looking for a passionate Chef to join our large kitchen brigade. We are looking for people who will make a positive contribution to the Club’s future whilst taking advantage of the potential career path on offer which will enable the successful candidate to grow with the Club.

    Delivering a diverse range of food offerings is our forte.  We have eight different food outlets which all have a strong focus on creating seasonal, trend relevant food. You will also prepare superb food for the Events team, providing you with the opportunity to show-case your talents.


    Working within this role, you would be responsible for:
    • Prepare and cook food ensuring the consistent delivery of food preparation and presentation is attained.
    • Maintain stock and par levels within designated sections.
    • Maintain safe, clean and comfortable premises in accordance with the Club policies and procedures.
    • Ensuring daily Food Safety Checklists are completed.
    • Compliance with WH&S standards and principals.

    You will be able to demonstrate:
    • A relevant trade qualification.
    • Previous experience in a similar role within a fast paced, high volume venue.
    • Previous experience in a leadership capacity in providing direction to Apprentice Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen Hands.
    • Intermediate knowledge of a range of different cuisines and cooking styles.
    • Previous customer service experience.
    • A strong knowledge and experience of WH&S, food safety and hygiene practices.
    • Flexibility when it comes to rostering to work across a range of shifts including days, nights, split shifts and weekends to be present in peak trading times.

  4. Kitchen Hand

    The Shellharbour Club

    The Shellharbour Club is looking for a part-time Kitchen Hand who will be instrumental in supporting 8 different trend relevant food outlets and a large Events team.  Being a team player is not simply a figure-of-speech, you naturally assist others with the smooth operations of the various kitchens.

    We have an amazing back-of-house crew…think a large family made up of Chefs, Cooks and Kitchen Hands led by an inspirational Head Chef.  Your interpersonal skills are excellent as you work in a large and modern premises.  

    Working within this role, you would be responsible for:

    •    Ensure food is prepared to appropriate standards.
    •    The safe handling and storing of food items.
    •    Maintaining product knowledge of all items on all current menus within areas worked.
    •    Ensuring all food and beverage service areas including kitchen and dish-wash areas are packed, stocked and ready for trade commencement.
    •    Maintaining safe, clean and comfortable premises in accordance with the Club policies and procedures 


    You will be able to demonstrate:

    •    Previous experience in a similar role including food preparation and cleaning experience.
    •    Strong work ethic.
    •    Flexible hands-on approach.
    •    Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
    •    Good working knowledge of WH&S principles, food safety and hygiene requirements
    •    A high level of accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
    •    Someone with motivation and a strong spirit who wants to grow within the business.
    •    Ability to work days, nights, split shifts and weekends.

  5. Apprentice Chef

    The Shellharbour Club

    1st, 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Chefs are welcome to apply!
     
    The Shellharbour Club is looking for a passionate full time Apprentice Chef to join our large kitchen brigade on a 3 year fixed-term basis with the possibility of extension. We are looking for someone who will make a positive contribution to the Club’s future whilst taking advantage of the potential career path on offer as the Club continues to grow.

    Delivering diverse food offerings is our forte. That is why we have eight different food outlets which all have a strong focus on creating seasonal, trend relevant food. You will also prepare superb food for the growing Events team; we are serious about providing variety and opportunities to show-case your talents.

    Most importantly we want someone who has a passion for food, willingness to learn and expand their knowledge and skill-set whilst being available to work across a range of shifts including days, nights, split shifts and weekends.

    At the end of the apprenticeship, there may be the possible opportunity for the employee to stay on-board in accordance with business requirements and performance.
