Supporting designated drivers

Designated drivers visiting Shellharbour Workers’ Club this holiday season can take advantage of our complimentary soft drinks program, in line with a campaign by the Australian Hotels Association NSW this Christmas for clubs and hotels to provide designated driver programs.

The Shellharbour Workers’ Club has offered its designated driver program for over 10 years, and reminds its members and visitors that they can take advantage of free soft drinks by identifying themselves to staff upon entry and presenting their drivers licence.

The designated driver program at Shellharbour Workers’ has been one important way that the Club can assist in keeping its members and visitors safer. The initiative has been part of our Club for over a decade now but with the campaign this Christmas and New Year season, we thought it was timely to remind our members, guests and the local community about the offer of complimentary soft drink.

Shellharbour Workers’ Club is also maintaining its courtesy bus service to the local area on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings through the holiday season, and will provide free buses home to the local area for The Butterfly Effect concert on Tuesday 29 December, and on New Year’s Eve. Taxi’s and the Star Bus service can also be arranged through our reception staff.

Members and visitors who identify themselves as the designated driver in their group will receive a stamp from Shellharbour Workers’ Club staff, which can then be shown to bar staff for the complimentary soft drinks.

Shellharbour Workers’ Club thanks its members and visitors for their support this year, wishes you a very merry and safe festive season, and reminds you - don’t drink and drive.
