About The Club

Welcome to Shellharbour Workers’ Club, which is one of the largest Clubs on the South Coast with approximately 20,000 members.

Our Club first started from a public meeting called on 18 April 1952 and from that meeting a committee was formed, with the liquor licence being granted on 26 May 1956. We moved into our current premises on the corner of Shellharbour and Wattle Roads in March 1983. We've come a long way since that time but continue to maintain the high standards set by our founding members.

Shellharbour Workers’ Club prides itself on being a family orientated Club and our staff’s enthusiasm and belief that the customer deserves the best helps maintain Shellharbour Workers’ Club as a leader in the hospitality industry. In today’s climate it is important to stay competitive by providing outstanding service and exceeding our customers expectations.

Shellharbour Workers’ Club is also committed to providing a variety of entertainment with both local and overseas artists and great promotions for the enjoyment of our members. We provide assistance to the local community wherever possible with substantial sponsorship for local sporting bodies and charitable organisations. Our Club also aims to promote and support a responsible, caring and professional approach by Management and staff with regards to the responsible service of alcohol and gaming.

Our Club has a Board of Directors of nine people who are responsible to Club members for the overall direction of the Club and in determining Club policy. The General Manager is delegated the authority by the Board of Directors to administer all staff and the related functions. Board policy is carried out by the General Manager, including the responsibility for the official, legal and day to day operations of the Club. The Duty Managers/Departmental Managers are responsible for the overall daily operation of the Club and their respective departments.
